A compact WLED controller shell for the USB-C D1 Mini V4
Protect a Wemos/LOLIN D1 Mini V4.0 used as a small WLED controller while retaining USB-C access and a dedicated three-wire exit. The selected V5 body adds room below the board for larger solder joints and uses the plain, unbranded V4 lid.
Functional design
- Sized for the Wemos/LOLIN D1 Mini V4.0 USB-C board
- Three-wire exit for a typical addressable-LED connection
- Taller V5 body for solder-joint clearance
- Tight board retention and removable plain lid
- Compact two-piece footprint
Materials and colors
Black and White are printed in PLA Tough+ for added durability. Orange, Blue, Green, Red, Gray, Purple and Yellow are printed in standard PLA.

Compatibility — read before ordering
Fits the USB-C Wemos/LOLIN D1 Mini V4.0 layout described by the source. It is not guaranteed for older Micro-USB D1 Mini revisions, clones with moved components, or unrelated ESP8266 boards.
What is included
Printed V5 case body and plain V4 lid only. D1 Mini, LEDs, wires, connectors, power supply and electronics are not included.
LED power warning: The source designer warns not to power more than about 30 LEDs through the D1 Mini’s USB connection and not to connect USB power and external +5 V to the board at the same time. Size the power supply, wire gauge, fusing and injection points for the actual LED load.

Enclosure model based on “Wemos D1 Mini V4.0 case – WLED” by Rubin Starset, used under CC0 1.0. Printed and sold by GearTechOutpost. Production geometry is used without dimensional changes; where a source 3MF was converted to STL, geometry and millimeter scale were preserved.
